LOCATION

First recorded in 1337 records, Ley Hill remains a modest village whose common is designated a County Wildlife Site.

The village's oldest recorded building The Swan public house dates back to Tudor times giving a feel for the age of this village and Ley Hill now celebrates its own nine-hole golf course and cricket club. While records show that the last pupils attended the village school in 1927, educationally, the village is rich in good schools including Ley Hill School and the nearby boys' and girls' grammar school.

Reaching London is surprisingly easy too. The Metropolitan Line from Chesham or Amersham (which is also served by the Chiltern Line) takes you into Baker Street/Marylebone while travelling from Berkhamsted brings you to Euston.

Ley Hill is well served by good shopping facilities, whether needing the wide choice of reputable High Street stores or the unique products of the independent retailers, either option is far away.

Ultimately rural in its heart, Ley Hill is a genuine Buckinghamshire village which has developed slowly and naturally.
